SEMI FLUSH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Pass fixture wire through long threaded pipe.
2) Screw end of long threaded pipe with hexnut into coupling on top of
fixture body.
3) Pass fixture wire through tube. Lower tube down over threaded pipe.
4) Pass fixture wire through hole in check ring. Pass hole in check ring
over end of threaded pipe. Set check ring on top of tube.
5) Pass fixture wire through hole in canopy.
6) Pass fixture wire through hole in lockwsher. Slip lockwasher over
threaded pipe protruding from inside of canopy.
7) Pass fixture wire through hole in hexnut. Screw hexnut onto threaded
pipe.
8) Follow steps #12-25 in Stem Drop Installation Instructions.
STEM DROP INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Pass fixture wire through long threaded pipe.
2) Screw end of long threaded pipe with hexnut into coupling on top of
fixture body.
3) Pass fixture wire through tube. Lower tube down over threaded pipe.
4) Pass fixture wire through hole in check ring. Pass hole in check ring
over end of threaded pipe. Set check ring on top of tube.
5) Pass fixture wire through coupling. Screw coupling onto end of
threaded pipe.
6) Pass wire from fixture through stem and screw stem to top of fixture.
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all stem
threads as noted with symbol (3) to prevent accidental rotation of fixture
during cleaning, relamping, etc.
7) Pass fixture wire through remaining stems and screw stems together.
8) Pass fixture wire through swivel. Thread swivel to end of last stem.
9) Pass fixture wire through hole in canopy. Pass threaded pipe at end
of swivel through hole in canopy.
10) Pass fixture wire through hole in lockwsher. Slip lockwasher over
threaded pipe protruding from inside of canopy.
11) Pass fixture wire through hole in hexnut. Screw hexnut onto threaded
pipe.
12) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work without
shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home. Place
the main power switch in the “OFF” position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker
switch(s), that control the power to the fixture or room that you
are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture to be
replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in the “OFF”
position.
13) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap. Assemble
mounting screws into threaded holes.
14) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided). Mounting
strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.
15) Make wire connections (connectors not provided.) Reference chart
below for correct connections and wire accordingly.
16) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws through
holes in canopy.
17) Secure fixture to ceiling with knurl knobs.
18) Insert recommended bulbs.
19) Thread hexnut onto one end of short threaded pipe approximately 1/4” down
from end.
20) Slip flat washer then rubber washer over end of threaded pipe.
21) From inside shade, slip long end of threaded pipe down through hole
in shade.
22) Slip rubber washer then flat washer over end of threaded pipe
protruding from bottom of shade. Thread hexnut on to threaded pipe.
23) Slip bottom trim over threaded pipe. Thread finial onto end of
threaded pipe. (DO NOT over tighten.)
24) Raise shade up to fixture. Pass screws on inside of shade up through
holes in bracket on fixture body.
25) Thread ball knobs onto ends of screws. Tighten ball knobs to secure
shade to fixture.

are used. The neutral wire is square shaped
or ridged and the other wire will be round in
shape or smooth (see illus.)
