1) TURN OFF POWER.

IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work without

shutting off the electricity until the work is done.

a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home. Place

the main power switch in the “OFF” position.

b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker switch(s),

that control the power to the ﬁxture or room that you are working on.

c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the ﬁxture to be

replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in the “OFF”

position.

2) Assemble mounting bracket to mounting surface using hardware suitable

for material of mounting surface. If using the provided anchors, mark

position of holes on mounting surface, drill appropriate holes and assemble

as illustrated.

3) Connect safety cable assembled to canopy to mounting bracket.

(This will allow for ﬁxture to be supported while wire connections are

made.)

4) Connect ﬁxture ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector

(not provided). Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply

wires.

5) Make wire connection (connectors not provided). Reference chart below

for correct connections and wire accordingly.

6) Push ﬁxture to wall allowing threaded pipes to pass through holes in

canopy. Care should be taken to insure that wires are completely inside

canopy.

7) Secure ﬁxture to wall using threaded caps.

8) Insert recommended bulbs.

9) Lower glass down into ﬁxture and over socket.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING FIXTURE OUTDOORS AND/OR IN

WET LOCATION.

10) Mounting surface should be clean, dry, ﬂat and 1/4” larger than the

canopy on all sides. Any gaps between the mounting surface and

canopy exceeding 3/16” should be corrected as required.

11) With silicone caulking compound, caulk completely around where back

of canopy meets the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into

outlet box.

a) Localiser le coffret à fusibles ou le disjoncteur du domicile. Mettre

l’interrupteur principal en position d’Arrêt.

b) Dévisser le ou les fusibles (ou mettre le disjoncteur sur Arrêt) qui

contrôlent l’alimentation vers le luminaire ou la pièce dans laquelle

le travail est effectué.

c) Mettre l’interrupteur mural en position d’Arrêt. Si le luminaire à

remplacer est doté d’un interrupteur ou d’une chaîne connectée à

l‘interrupteur, placer ces éléments en position d’Arrêt.

2) Installer le support de montage sur la surface de montage à l’aide de la

quincaillerie appropriée à la surface de montage. En cas d’utilisation des

ancres fournies, marquer la position des trous sur la surface de montage,

percer des trous et assembler selon les illustrations.

3) Connecter le câble de sécurité assemblé à l’intérieur du cache sur le

support de montage.(Ceci permettra de soutenir le luminaire lors du

branchement des ﬁls.)

4) Connecter le ﬁl de terre à celui de la boîte à prises avec des serre-ﬁls

(non fournis). Ne jamais connecter un ﬁl de mise à la terre aux ﬁls

d’alimentation blanc ou noir du luminaire.

5) Faire les branchements (les serre-ﬁls ne sont pas fournis). Se reporter

au tableau ci-dessous pour effectuer les branchements et le câblage.

6) Pousser le luminaire vers le mur en passant le tube ﬁleté par les trous

du cache. Veiller à ce que les ﬁls se trouvent bien à l’intérieur du cache.

7) Fixer le luminaire au mur à l’aide des bouchons ﬁletés.

8) Metre l’ampoule recommandée.

9) Abaisser le verre dans le luminaire et sur la douille.

INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE DE LUMINAIRE À L’EXTÉRIEUR ET/OU

DANS DES LIEUX HUMIDES.

10) La surface de montage doit être propre, sèche, plate et de 0,6 cm plus

épaisse que le cache sur tous les côtés. Tout écart entre la surface

de montage et le cache dépassant de 0,5 cm doit être rectiﬁé selon les

besoins.

11) À l’aide de matériaux d’étanchéité à la silicone, calfeutrer bien autour

où l’arrière du cache entre en contact avec le mur pour empêcher l’eau

de passer dans la boîte de raccordement.
